Six year old Raven joined us four weeks ago and is a medium sized black boy. Raven is really looking forward to spending time on his first comfy sofa.
He is a very affectionate lad who walks well on the lead. Siobhan reports that he is quite attached to his food bowl, so much so that he takes the bowl to bed with him after he has eaten!
Raven is being assessed but so far is making good progress with his new experiences in the big wide world. If you would like to find out more about Raven featured here, or any of the other hounds in our care, please contact either Sue our re-homing co-ordinator on 07794463249 or Siobhan at kennels on 07960561988
Three year old shy boy Dino is dreaming of his forever home.
This lovely lad has settled well in kennels and is now starting to show his playful side to those volunteers he has got to know. He is easy to walk and hasn't shown a reaction to other dogs when out and about. Dino loves his food and Siobhan says he has an inbuilt alarm clock - he lets you know when it's tea time!

Lurcher Ollie arrived in our care as a stray in June this year via the dog warden. He was extremely thin with a bad case of fleas and was unsure of what was happening to him. As he hadn’t eaten properly in a long time he had to be fed regularly and carefully monitored.
It has taken time and patience but the Ollie we have in kennels now is testament to Siobhan’s T.L.C. Ollie has blossomed into a loving, happy dog who now takes an active interest in what is going on in his life. We think Ollie is about 3 years of age, he looks forward to his daily walks and loves spending time with the other dogs. He is clean in his kennel too. Ollie recently represented Makants as part of our hound fundraising team and coped exceptionally well.
We would prefer a home where he could lead an active lifestyle with the opportunity for plenty of walks and play. He would love to be part of a family and we feel would make a great companion as he has so much love to give. Sadly we don’t think Ollie would get along with cats.

introducing Jet our dog of the month for August - in kennels
Five year old Jet arrived in our kennels in May this year. We have found him to be a very friendly boy and an affectionate one too! Apparently if you ask for a ‘kiss’ he will gladly provide one!
Jet walks well on the lead, does not pull and is happy around the other greys. Jet is being introduced to the big wide world with the help of our volunteer Rob who takes him on trips out and for new experiences.
At the moment while Jet is fine with bigger dogs, he is still a little unsure with small dogs. This lovely boy is available for re-homing and if you would like any further details please contact either Sue our re-homing co-ordinator on 07794463249 or Siobhan at kennels on 07960561988
Friendly, four year old Fred is looking for his forever home. This lad, who is well loved at kennels, loves to see the volunteers each day and when they approach he starts ‘hopping’ out of excitement! He walks well on the lead and gets on well with all breeds of dog.
Fred has been to a recent fundraising event and was an excellent ambassador for Makants taking all the new experiences in his stride. He really is a sweetheart who just loves life and is more than ready for a home of his own. Sadly, Fred isn’t cat friendly.
If you would like to find out more about Fred please contact either Sue our re-homing co-ordinator on 07794463249 or Siobhan at kennels on 07960561988
