Hello supporters, we had another gloriously sunny day fundraising at the VW car show in Aspull. Thanks to the generous people attending we raised £328.17!
Volunteers were Wendy, Martin, Fiona, Dave the Spade and Kathleen. Our volunteer Kenny was the compère bringing his whippet Oscar with him. We had visits from adopted hound Tip and volunteer Adi with new foster dog Max.
Thanks are also due to our fundraising dogs - Kate and Charlie (both adopted Makants hounds), and Wolfie (in foster), all took everything in their stride.
The weather was kind to us and so were the visitors to Dam house as £221.31 was raised.
Many thanks to our fundraisers - Alison, Linda, Pat, Marion and Dave. Hounds in attendance were kennel hounds Gull and Brin and adopted Makants hounds Lark and Charlie.
We also had visits from Lynn, Nick and Vicky with adopted Makants hounds Billy and Glo. It was great to see them and also our Makants friends Mary and Stewart with their hounds Rio and Flute. What a greyt day!
Hello supporters, some wonderful news to share this Sunday morning, Kate has been homed!
As you may remember Kate had an accident in kennels which required intensive treatment. Her immediate care was undertaken by Siobhan and by Danielle and her family, and with their help Kate was soon on the road to recovery.
Kate then went to recuperate with Wendy, Martin and their daughter Penny. She has recovered so well and fitted in with their family, so that's where she's staying!
We are very pleased for her and she will now share her life with canine companion Shankley. Be happy Kate, we're sure you will be!
Back in March lots of you lovely people nominated us to receive some free food from Burgess Pet care.
Well, I'm pleased to say that, after going through a short listing process and an official visit, we were finally awarded a large amount of free food!
Two weeks ago the Burgess Pet Care team paid a visit to kennels loaded up with the food. We're very grateful to Burgess for their generosity and also to our walking volunteers who unloaded it that day!
Here's a photo of Siobhan with kennel hound Brin and foster hound D'jango - you can also see our hard working volunteers in the background. Great work Makants team!
