His foster carers Sue and Adrian are new signed up members of the ever growing 'failed fosterers club'! D'jango has settled well into family life, and will live with canine companions Davin, Jess, Millie and Jake. We wish them all every happiness in the future, and look forward to regular updates.
Four year old Fred is our Friday Feature! (Try saying that quickly!)
Stunning Fred arrived in kennels earlier this month and took no time at all to settle in. ...
During his assessment we have found him to be a friendly, affectionate type of hound who enjoys a fuss. He has a real happy disposition, a real ‘joie de vivre’ (joy of living)!
Fred has been to our fundraising events and recently even managed to be invited to a supporters 60th birthday party! Our walking volunteers report that he walks well on the lead and gets on well with other dogs when out and about.
(Note: At this stage it is not know how Fred is with cats or other small animals).
If you would like to find out more about Fred please contact either Sue our re-homing co-ordinator on 07794463249 or Siobhan at kennels on 07960561988
Friendly foster hound Billy is a affectionate boy looking for his forever home. He is currently living in in a local foster home and has settled well into their daily routine, however it is now time for him to move onto his forever home.
This lad is a great all rounder – he is respectful with all types of dogs - and enjoys the company of adults and children too. He walks well on the lead and has attended fundraising events with us, being an excellent ambassador for our rescue. In fact he’s a bit of a charmer, a real ‘ladies’ man’ as can be seen in this photo at a fundraising event. The lady in charge of first aid was rather smitten and reluctant to give him back to us!
If you would like to find out more about Billy, or any of the other hounds in our care, please contact either Sue our re-homing co-ordinator on 07794463249 or Siobhan at kennels on 07960561988.
Definition of : A 'ladies’ man ‘ - a man who strives to please women and to attract their attention and admiration.
Four of our volunteers hold a social dog walk at Buckshaw Village, near Chorley once a month. Guest hound yesterday was Flynn - not only was he fundraising in the morning at Pets at Home - he was a superb ambassador for Makants in the afternoon too!
We are pleased to say the group raised £40 in donations for our rescue for which we are very grateful. Here's a couple of photos of Flynn on the walk, perfectly at home with dogs large or small
