Striking white and black 5 year old Patch is a popular boy with our walking volunteers. This friendly boy loves humans, looks forward to his daily walks and walks so well on the lead too.
Patch recently spent a day with a local foster family and This is what they said about him. ‘Patch is a very gentle dog who doesn't pull on the lead and he tolerated being sniffed by many different dogs while out. He was great travelling in the car too and didn’t bark or become agitated. Patch also played well around the children and enjoyed a game of football and was very gentle accepting treats from them’.
While relaxed and friendly with humans, Patch has lead a sheltered life in kennels and can react towards other breeds of dog as he is not familiar with them. His walking volunteers are working on correcting this behaviour which they expect to improve with time and frequent socialisation experiences. Any prospective adopter would need to continue this work.
If you would like to find out more about Patch featured here please contact either Sue our re-homing co-ordinator on 07794463249 or Siobhan at kennels on 07960561988.
